Fire Sprinkler Designer with Top Pay

Nevada Fire Protection Inc., a premier fire sprinkler contractor, is seeking to add a dynamic NICET II Designer to join our team.  We are a stable organization looking for a highly motivated professional associate who wants to succeed and have fun in a fast-paced environment. 

 

A Designer is responsible for operating with minimal supervision while completing project designs and submittal..

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Design automatic sprinkler systems including wet, dry and fire pumps. Perform hydraulic calculations for each design.  Prepare submittal packages to send to Architects, Engineers, &  Authority Having Jurisdiction and subsequent correspondence to achieve design approval. Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication vendor. Assist field personnel with design related installation issues. Prepare and submit final job closeout documents after final acceptance testing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 24, and NFPA 20 NICET II or NICET III required.  Multi-Family experience is required Strong mathematical skills for hydraulic calculation Strong organizational skills 5 years minimum experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, HydraCalc, and HydraList Ability to work in a “TEAM” setting Must be able to handle multiple jobs at once.
