Position Overview:







 

The Foreman is responsible for leading the installation crew operating between GreenLogic’s Roslyn Heights and Southampton locations. The Foreman must ensure that each job is executed perfectly and that clients are completely satisfied with our work and our staff.   

Requirements High ethical standards and a desire to work in a progressive, value driven, triple bottom line company. A deep desire to make a difference in the world through the use of alternative energy solutions Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, self-motivated, flexible, able to thrive in a rapidly growing and evolving  environment World class communication (oral and written) and customer service skills Extensive experience in the building trades esp: framing, carpentry, roofing and electrical.  Experience with HVAC a plus. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook Highly organized and efficient, able to multi task Minimum 2 year degree, Bachelor degree a plus At least 5-10 years of professional experience managing building trade workers with a proven track record of meeting goals on time and on budget Must have a high energy level, be self-motivated and enthusiastic and have a good sense of humor. A big plus (but not a requirement) is that the candidate has previous experience or knowledge about alternative energy solutions such as solar, wind, geothermal, and energy auditing.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1.         Management

                a.             Manage installation crew

                b.             Schedule all activities to optimize productivity and costs

                c.             Coordinate electrical activities with Corporate Electrician

                d.             Help develop, enhance and enforce SOPs.

                e.             Enforce all company safety and OSHA rules

                f.              Stay current on techniques and tools

                g.             Meet timelines, quality goals and client satisfaction goals

                h.             Motivate and lead staff to deliver exceptional performance

 

2.         Design, Planning and Installations

                a.             Do pre and post sale site visits

                b.             Check for shading, measurements, roof quality, electrical interface

                c.             Share results with Sales Engineer

                d.             Prepare installation plans

                e.             Coordinate schedule through Operations Manager

                f.              Supervise/coordinate staff

                g.             Serve as installer

                h.             Secure necessary tools and equipment

                i.              Verify all work

                j               Test and QA system

                k.             Do client walk-through

 

3.         QA & Support

            a.             Do regular QA and monitoring of performance

                b.             Resolve any project issues/repairs/maintenance

       

4.         Training and Certification

            a.             Keep up with ongoing PV training

                b.             Keep up with ongoing manufacturers training

 

Compensation Plan:

·          Base compensation package or $40,000-$50,000, plus incentive based bonus of $0-$5,000, tied to key performance indicators.
