GIS/CAD Specialist

Harris Environmental Group, Inc. is a respected natural and cultural resources consulting firm in Tucson, Arizona seeking an experienced consultant with exceptional skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD). Responsibilities

· Work with cultural and natural resources staff to determine GIS/CAD issues unique to each project.

· Create a range of GIS and CAD deliverables for cultural and natural resource projects.

· Conduct quality assurance/quality control of all maps created within the GIS/CAD Division in accordance with company guidelines and legislative agency requirements.

· Oversee hard-copy map production.

· Assist General Manager with scoping GIS/CAD involvement in project proposals.

· Assist with report quality assurance/quality control and production.

Qualifications

· B.S. or B.A. degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Science, Anthropology or related field (Masters Degree preferred).

· Minimum of 2 years professional experience.

· Demonstrated understanding of GIS.

· Demonstrated ability to utilize ESRI's ArcView and AutoDesk's AutoCAD software packages.

· Experience managing staff.

· Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and people-oriented.

· Familiarity with map and figure requirements of agencies such as the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office, Arizona Department of Transportation, Arizona State Land Department preferred.
