Geotechnical Project Engineer

Overview: Stantec is seeking geotechnical engineers to work on a wide variety of challenging projects. Project assignments will include both field and office duties. Interested candidates should possess excellent technical skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and outside clients. Responsibilities: Responsible for recording, evaluating and reporting daily rig site drilling data, crosschecking measurements of downhole tubulars, assemblies, tools and equipment, as well as analyzing and reporting all surface and downhole problems encountered. Capture all pertinent pre-drill data supplied by the customer and perform all specific pre-job engineering calculations which include, but are not limited to, torque/drag modeling, hydraulics, stress modeling etc. Ability and willingness to work as a part of a team. Represent the company without compromise to safety, regulatory compliance, environmental awareness and ethical standards Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or Masters(preferred) in Civil Engineering 1-4 years of relevant experience Good organizational and engineering /analytical skills.
