High Density Residential Architect

Little is a 320 person, growing, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices in Charlotte, Dallas, Durham, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Washington DC.  The firm is consistently named as a “Best Place to Work”.  Little serves a diverse group of developer, corporate, educational, civic and governmental clients, with a broad array of design services including architecture, engineering, interior design, graphic design, strategic facilities planning, and animation.

 

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, highly collaborative and creative architect with high density residential experience to join our firm. Little is a nationally recognized design firm with strong ambitions for national and international growth. This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to the firm’s growing practice in urban high-rise residential and mixed use projects.

 

The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of this project type from project pursuit to design and execution. The position may be located in any of our Charlotte, Durham, Los Angeles, or Washington DC offices.

 

The individual selected will possess:

· Significant relevant project experience in mid-rise and high-rise residential projects, preferably with other mixed use integration. 

· A deep understanding of a variety of high density housing types and their nuances and best practices.

· Experience with reconciling the interrelationship between housing and amenity functions and their operational needs.

· An understanding of pro forma drivers relating to residential development

· Working knowledge of code implications and requirements

· Architectural registration, preferably with NCARB certification

· Preference for candidates with LEED Accredited Professional designation
