The Position: 

Geomagic is currently embarking on a substantial business process re-engineering that has significant reliance on IS systems, and will also look to the IS Manager to lead and support change management efforts.  In addition the IS Manager will serve as systems/business analyst, programmer and related IS service providers. This entails a proven ability to comprehend and evaluate technology trends and constraints, project management skills, cost control experience, as well as training and recruitment of specialist staff.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Support business needs with deployment and maintenance of databases

Plan, Develop, and Implement the IS roadmap

Align and execute strategies that match those of the organization

Research and manage installation of new systems

Direct procurement efforts for IS infrastructure, including obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers where appropriate

Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems

Recruit, mentor, and manage IS staff - ensure IS group meets the needs of individuals and projects

Create, update and maintain policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, uptime, and accuracy of mission critical data
