Instructional Designer

You Must Apply Directly to the Link Provided Below to be Considered for this Position.The Instructional Designer/Developer works as a member of the Dignity University team to develop and translate courses for SCI employees.  Designer/Translators will work with Dignity University Project Manager to partner with subject matter experts to create course content in accordance with Dignity U development standards.  Job Responsibilities· Blend sound learning principles with creative design strategies to create highly engaging and interactive programs (on time and within budget).· Maintain strong relationships with multiple clients during analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of learning programs.· Lead cross-functional teams to assess training needs, consult with subject matter experts and perform task, skill and media analysis.· Develop course learning strategies and objectives.· Translate course material into Spanish· Create learning solutions with a blended approach, including classroom instructor-led courses and on-the-job activities, as well as on-line web-based, synchronous and asynchronous instructor-led, self-study, cd-rom, and other distance learning courses.· Create design documents that clearly communicate learning strategies, interactive strategies, content outline, flow, technical specifications and overall project scope.· Partner with subject matter experts to create course content.· Monitor projects and deliverables and keep the Project Manager informed.· Maintain and update courses as well as written material· Some classroom or synchronous training delivery may be requiredRequirements:· 5+ years experience in instructional and web-based design/development· Bachelors/Master degree preferred· Experience with multimedia software packages such as ToolBook, Captivate, Flash, etc.· Experience translating communication and training material in Spanish· Superior communication and facilitation skills· Project management skills (MS project a plus)· Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)· Death Care Industry knowledge a plusCLICK HERE TO APPLYPLEASE DO NOT USE “APPLY NOW” FEATURE Position Information Company Service Corporation International Location 1929 Allen Parkway (near downtown), TX 77019 Status Full Time, Employee Job Category Creative/Design Education Level Bachelor's Degree
