Interior Designer

RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Director of Design Services in FF&E selections including, flooring, fabrics, furniture, lighting, paint and wall finishes, window treatments and accessories.Assemble presentation boards for owner and franchise approval.Ensure that the design library is current and organized.Establish preliminary FF&E budgets.Verify counts and quantity takeoffs from plans.Obtain vendor quotes and bids for purchasing.Research, plan and assemble FF&E specification notebooks for each project.Coordinate design review with general contractors.Assist in creating design concepts and the creation of design presentations.

 

 

REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in interior design.Minimum of 3 years experience in interior design, hospitality design experience preferred.Proficient in space planning, furniture layout, research, planning and assembling FF&E specifications.Conceptual ability to draft floor plan layouts, elevations and freehand sketching.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, working knowledge of SPEXX preferred.Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team.Minimal travel.
