MECHANICAL DRAFTER/DESIGNER

Job Overview
This position revolves around working within small metal fabrication company with main responsibilities revolving around design and manufacturing documentation.

Duties
Create part drawings, assembly drawings and bills of materials
Work within an engineering support team and perform other engineering support related functions.
Work with other support members and implement changes to improve efficiencies

Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and schematics by coordinating with sales engineers and outside vendors

Communicates with customers on product capabilities and to clarify customers’ technical requirements.

 

Qualifications

·  Proficient in Solidworks.

·  Solid Modeling experience required

·   Knowledgeable in mechanical drafting

·  Knowledgeable in dimensioning and tolerancing standards

·  Good communication and leadership skills

·  Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects

·  Working knowledge of Visual Basic

 

Hours Flexible, part time OK
