Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Due to recent growth, DLB Associates Consulting Engineers, PC with headquarters in Ocean, NJ is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated Mechanical Commissioning Engineer. This position requires full time travel to our construction sites throughout the US.

The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will work with site personnel and contractors to evaluate the quality of installed work on multiple large construction sites.

 

This dynamic position will have the following responsibilities:

 Progress and other report writingFunctional testing of large HVAC systemsTroubleshootingDaily coordination meetings with other trades and vendorsDaily interaction with management teamProactive problem identification and resolutionObserving startup activities of vendorsCommissioning reportsTest data collection

 

 

Qualifications for this position include:

·  BSME degree preferred but may substitute additional years experience including commissioning of large HVAC systems for pharmaceutical processes or laboratory clean rooms.

·  Minimum 5 years field experience in the hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large HVAC systems.

· Field supervision experience required.

· The ability to travel nationally required. The ability to travel internationally preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite.

· The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

· Large cooling plant design experience is a plus.
