Mechanical Designer/Engineer and/or Electrical Designer/Engineer for MEP Engineering Firm

Tower Engineering, a mechanical/electrical/plumbing consulting engineering firm located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, is seeking to fill multiple positions in our HVAC and Electrical departments.  Tower Engineering provides engineering design for commercial, institutional and educational projects.  We are seeking both an entry-level designer and a designer/engineer with 5+ years experience in HVAC design.  We are also seeking both an entry-level designer and a designer/engineer with 5+ year experience in electrical design.


Job Requirements (entry-level positions):Degree from 2-year or 4-year program specializing in either HVAC or electrical design Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural clients and other engineering disciplines Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple deadlines. Familiarity with AutoCad required.

 

Job Requirements (experienced position): Experience in the design of HVAC Systems or experience in the design of electrical systems. Experience in preparation of construction drawings and specifications, field survey skills, performing calculations, and a thorough knowledge of building codes and standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability and experience to coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural clients and other engineering disciplines Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines AutoCAD experience required.
