Mechanical Engineer - (HVAC)

We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to perform HVAC systems design work for commercial and industrial building projects.  This position reports to a Group Engineering Manager and has no direct reports. 

Major responsibilities are as follows:

 

Develop design concepts, drawings, and technical specifications for mechanical systems (HVAC equipment, piping, duct work, fans, pumps, etc).  Prepare related calculations, drawings, and specifications.  Conduct assessments pertaining to HVAC conditions, document findings, and make recommendations.  Assist with the preparation of cost estimates.  Interface with clients and vendors.  Perform Quality Reviews and resolve technical issues.  Train, instruct, and provide technical assistance to CAD Drafters and Designers.  Maintain related project documents and files.

Strong technical and problem solving skills are essential. This person is passionate about playing a role in the development of solutions that meet our clients’ needs and goals.  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.  2 - 10 years of related experience in an environment requiring mechanical systems experience and knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards is essential.  Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and AutoCAD is required.  AutoCAD Revit is a plus.
