Additional information can be obtained from our website at www.amec.com.AMEC’s Westford’s, MA office seeks a Mid-Level Civil Engineer with 6-8 years experience to support engineering design projects and related engineering duties. The Mid-Level Civil Engineer will work as part of an Engineering Team under the guidance and direction of an Engineering Project Manager. Projects may include all aspects of civil engineering including site development; new vertical construction; roadway construction; water distribution; sewer collection, pumping and treatment; groundwater treatment facilities; renovations, alterations, and repairs of facilities; stormwater; secure landfill expansions and closures; and environmental remediation projects. The civil engineer should be self-motivated and able to work on moderately complex multi disciplined engineering projects.

Accountabilities
Function as a civil engineering resource by:
Assisting with the preparation of design packages including technical design reports, engineering calculations, civil design plans and details, technical specifications, contract documents, cost estimates, project work plans, and other required documentation;
Managing engineering work completed by sub consultants,
Assisting with engineering documentation during construction including submittals, requests for information, and scheduling;
As needed, assist with construction oversight, QA/QC, start-up, and operation & maintenance of new infrastructure and remedial treatment systems;
Assisting with engineering post-construction documentation including Record Drawings, Completion of Work Reports, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and Operation & Maintenance Plans;
Mentoring entry-level engineering staff.

Knowledge
BS in Civil Engineering, MS preferred
6 - 8 years of civil engineering experience
Engineering-in-Training (required)
Professional Engineering License (current or planned for near future)
Good organizational, technical, writing, communication and computer skills required
HAZWOPER training, preferred
Experience with engineering software packages including AutoCAD, Autodesk Land Development required
Experience with MS Project, HydroCad, TR-55, and MathCad preferred
