Operations Manager

Personify has teamed up with a privately-held laboratory furniture and equipment company located in Raleigh, NC. This is not a true Operations Manager position but more of a hybrid Senior Project Manager position. You will act as the Senior Project Manager for projects over $1 Million. This is a great opportunity for a Construction or Architecture and Design Senior Project Manager to move into an Operations Manager position. Position DescriptionProvide leadership, team vision, and training to support the laboratory furniture division, larger company initiatives as applicable, a positive work environment, maximizing team member satisfaction, growth and development.  Tactically provide oversight for Design, Project Management, Customer Account Managers, Customer Services Representatives, Installation and all aspects of Distribution. Provide subordinates with direction, technical support and consulting during their planning and implementation of laboratory projects.  Collaborate with specialized sales personnel, designers, project managers, and manufacturer’s representatives during specification and order fulfillment process. EducationCandidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university or equivalent work experience. Experience PrerequisitesThe qualified candidate will have 5 years experience in a operations management role with a superior track record.  This individual will have experience working with complex products in an environment where each project is completely different from the last. He/she will have been successful in building and maintaining key internal and external relationships.  His/her understanding of operational processes and relationship-building will have increased customer satisfaction and their company’s profitability.  A proven track record in speedy customer response is required.  The finalist will have been successful in balancing objectives with customer needs. Personal AttributesThe successful candidate will be highly intelligent, energetic, articulate, and mature professional.  He/she will be a leader, with the proven ability to influence sales.  The individual holds positive beliefs and assumptions about people and believes that people and results are equally important. A strong communicator, the selected candidate will be an outstanding listener, highly motivated, and be able to keep the best interests of the customer, team, and corporation in mind.  He/she is comfortable working in changing business environments and will have demonstrated and ability to consistently meet deadlines CompensationAn attractive compensation package will be offered, including salary, bonus plan tied to individual and team performance, and comprehensive benefits. Contact Information: If you are interested in this opportunity please send your resume as a word document attachment to: mdahrooge@personifysearch.com , or call Mark Dahrooge @ 919-460-9595 ext 103 for more information.
