Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.PDS Administrator Duties & Responsibilities: Create & maintain piping specs per current revision of project piping specs, including branch tables, service codes and material descriptions. Duties also include creation of piping and equipment models, as well as models for other disciplines, including files received from other companies using non-PDS software packages. Duties also include set-up of scheduled batches for interference check, distribution of clash reports, creation of equipment arrangements, key plans, piping orthographics and the labeling of these drawings with either OrthoGen or Drawing Manager. This includes creation of border files that comply with project approved border files, for use in PDS working units as well as other non-piping files required for column reference. The PDS Admin is also responsible for the set-up of isometric defaults files, seed files and border files as the project progresses, including alternate defaults files. On some projects, the PDS Admin is responsible for creation of in-line instruments or assists Instrumentation in that effort. On all projects, the PDS Admin is responsible for maintaining the Specialty Descriptions as well as creating in-line specialty components that are commonly used throughout the project. On projects where Pelican Forge Support Modeler is used for design of pipe supports, the PDS Admin must create seed files and border files for the fabrication drawings, ensure that standard support libraries are accessed by default and that standard supports are accessible. Additional duties include assistance with SPR set-up. Material reports are also requested throughout the progress of the project.Qualifications•Basic qualifications include 10 years piping design experience and at least 5 years extensive piping design using PDS, including successful generation of isos, review of clashes & equipment modeling as well as the generation & maintenance of piping specifications and fitting creation & modification. Knowledge of Drawing Manager, OrthoGen, Pelican Forge Support Modeler and Material Data Publisher for material reports is a plus.
