Project Analyst

Summary:

The Project Analyst coordinates with other staff and clients to maintain accurate project documentation for current and ongoing projects. Essential functions include, but are not limited to; delay and productivity analysis, contract review and understanding, quantum analysis, review of construction accounting documents and status reports, and preparation and/or evaluation of construction claims. This position requires technical knowledge of the construction work involved and the ability to master a variety of project planning/ comparison methods and software. The Project Analyst will also work in a team environment and may assume a supervisory role as a team leader in delegation of responsibilities, management of junior staff, and finalization of client deliverables. Travel may be required 15-40% of the time, depending on workloads and project locations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following):

-Responsible for cost tracking and forecasting, working with database systems, and graphic presentation of scheduling.

-Assist with the preparation and/or evaluation of construction claims.
-Perform Time Impact and other delay analysis techniques to evaluate project delays. 
-Review of critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones.

-Provide direct interaction with clients on a regular basis.

-Perform miscellaneous other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required):

-Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering/technology or construction management.

-Two (2) plus years experience in the following: scheduling, project controls, claims analysis and preparation, and expert testimony or assistance in judicial and quasi-judicial forums such as trials, mini-trials, mediations, arbitrations, and boards of contract appeals on local, state and federal levels (Ten (10) years plus experience preferred).

-Significant experience in Construction Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling. 
-Working knowledge of schedule comparison software including Primavera products (P3.x, P3e/c, P5), Suretrak, Microsoft Project, Expedition, Prolog and Claim Digger.

-Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

-Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with fellow employees and client personnel.
-Effective oral and written communication skills.
