We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Project Drafter in our Warrenton, VA office. 

*3+ years of expereince in the preparation of drawings for a variety of precast structures and/or components using AutoCAD is REQUIRED!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

·  Drafting and Detailing: responsible for the preparation of drawings for a variety of precast structures and/or components using AutoCad.  Drafting task assignments may include but are not limited the following: 

 

1.  Erection Drawing drafting (including plans, elevations, sections and connection details)

2.  Detail of Production Drawings (a.k.a.: shop tickets or piece details)

3.  Develop Drawings for use by the sales or marketing departments

4.  Develop of Drawings and details for drafting standards

 

·  General Administrative Responsibilities: responsible for assisting in general administrative tasks.  Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

 

1.  Ensure that general office supplies are in stock.  Order new supplies as needed

2.  Ensure paper, toners and other necessary supplies needed for the operation of various machines (Plotter, Scanner, Copier and Fax) are in re-stocked as needed to maintain continuous printing operations.  Call service technician when machines require maintenance

3.  Operate Scanner as needed for the release of drawings for production or erection, sales work and/or Project Contract Documents

4.  Run prints when requested for the release of Production Drawings to the plant or field operations

5.  File hard copies of Production and Erection Drawings

6.  Copy, distribute and mail various documents

7.  Prepare and distribute handling tags

8.  Issue plate details for purchasing and production

9.  Provide administrative assistance to Project Coordinators and Engineers

10.  File documents and maintain administrative files both physically and electronically
