Project Electrical/Controls Engineer

Infoscitex Corporation (IST) is seeking an experienced and creative electrical engineer who wants to undertake challenging project work aimed at developing new devices and systems for a wide range of defense and biomedical applications.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Electrical/Controls Engineer will develop control software and circuit designs for prototypes of new and innovative devices and systems and oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes.  He/she will be called upon either to create or to oversee development of control software, to prepare for design reviews, to contact and interact with appropriate vendors and suppliers, and to correct problems that arise during test.  In addition, he/she will be required to assist with reports and participate in meetings with collaborators, subcontractors and customers and participate in brainstorming sessions, develop new concepts for customers, and write proposals to promote those concepts.  The ideal candidate will have broad and innovative skills that will allow him/her to find solutions to challenging problems.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

An MSEE with at least 3 years of working experience, or a BSEE with at least 6 years of working experience, is required.  Knowledge of the fundamental electrical and software engineering disciplines is required.  Applicants must have strong electrical and software engineering design and development capabilities and be able to contribute to multiple simultaneous projects with disparate requirements.

This position requires U.S. citizenship; and previous security clearance is a plus.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Good planning and organizational skills, experience working on diverse project teams, good verbal and written communications skills and proposal writing experience are important.
