Our client, Acoustical Solutions Inc., is based in Richmond, Virginia, and is a provider of soundproofing and noise control products.  Acoustical Solutions has an employment opening for a Project Expeditor/Coordinator in its Environmental Division.  The Environmental Division provides site and sound barrier walls for commercial, residential and public facility applications.  For more information about Acoustical Solutions, visit www.AcousticalSolutions.com.

 

The Project Expeditor/Coordinator will be responsible for expediting and coordinating the construction process, liaison with the client and providing support for the sales department.

 

Specific duties include the following:Schedule and coordinate the required permits and inspections (city, county, state, third party, etc.).Expedite materials needed for each project.Coordinate and supervise installation crews.Assure proper installation (materials and workmanship must meet or exceed the specification for each project)  .Trouble shooting and problem solving field and client issues. Protect and adhere to the schedule set for the project.Maintain, meet, or exceed the client’s expectations in quality and performance while protecting the company’s interest.Inform the Department Manager and salesperson of any project related issues, i.e., scheduling, change order request, and customer/installer/supplier relations, etc.Maintain the proper e-files and hard files during the construction process.Prepare weekly progress reports.Perform final walk-thru and sign-off with the client; schedule and complete any punch list item to the customer’s satisfaction and in an expeditious manner.As time permits, provide sales support by generating sales leads through the use of Blue Book, Dodge reports, various other online plans rooms, blogs, or other tools as supplied by the company.As time permits, provide sales support by gathering information on sales leads from various sources (architects, engineers, contractors, owners, etc.).

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:Minimum of three years of successful experience in expediting, coordination and administration of projects.Must be customer service and quality oriented.Good communication (written and oral) skills.Basic constructions knowledge: familiar with plans, specifications and engineering reports.Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and supervisory skills.Must be computer literate.Must be capable of researching information through architects, engineers, contractor, owners, etc.Willing to travel within Virginia and out of state as required.A hard worker who is willing to learn, implement, and contribute ideas.High regard for the core values of honesty, integrity, and loyalty.
