Our Client is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with office in the mid-west and west coast.  Through continued growth an experienced Project Manager is needed for their Madison, WI office. This position be in their food and industrial facilities department located in Madison, Wisconsin.  The position will be responsible for successfully managing a multi-disciplinary team comprised of engineering and architectural staff. 

 

Duties include (but are not limited to) project planning, organizing, and monitoring/managing all aspects of projects, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, client management, etc.  The position will report to the manager of the food and industrial facilities department.

 

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture or a civil engineer with a structural emphasis and at least eight years of relevant experience.  Professional registration as an architect or engineer in WI (or ability to obtain within six months of hire date) is also required. 

 

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:  prior project management experience; experience with renovation and/or new construction of food and/or industrial facilities; project planning; fee preparations; contract negotiation; proposal writing; construction administration.  Strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and the desire to learn are desired.
