Retail & Hospitality Group Leader (Architecture)

Are you an enthusiastic, organized, entrepreneurial Architectural Design Director or Senior Project Architect ready to step into a Principal position?  We are looking to strengthen and expand our client base of hospitality and retail work.  Our ideal candidate is someone with a market presence that has the ability to evolve by attracting to their current client base, and to develop further work with the clients our organization already works with.  As a principal and group leader, the expectation would be that you take personal pride and ownership of the projects and direction of the firm in coordination with the founding principal. Your responsibilities would be to handle staffing needs, develop a team, mentor, work with staff to develop pragmatic content and solution, and provide design oversight in a stimulating and collaborative environment.  You will also be responsible for defining project criteria and client goals; present to clients and communities; ensure quality and delivery standards, and project control.   Your typical day would include about 1/3 time spent: Design, Document, & Business Development · This will be a Principal owner position in a well established firm with a solid client base since 1963 who’s had a history of high profile clients while being a 20 person boutique size group.· Option to buy in is open.· Office is located in the fashionable South Park (SoMa) area of San Francisco.· Opportunity for entrepreneurial type person ready to take ownership of their career, ready to shape and lead their own future and collaborate with the President on the direction and changes for the betterment of the company, its employee’s and their clients.· Extremely high end large corporate clients as well as boutique projects.   Job Requirements· B.S. Architecture or higher· 15+ years minimum industry experience· Experience in Hospitality and or Retail· Local individual with established Bay Area Market presence is mandatory· Ability to market and develop business - expand & strengthen the market presence· Manage project & staff control · A high level of visual and verbal skill with excellent presentation skills is required· Experience running a firm is helpful MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
