SALES MANAGER - Consumer Sales Division
Fast growing design and manufacturer of a very high-end and proprietary building system, sold worldwide for recreational, retirement and custom home-type applications since 1968, is seeking a Sales Manager to work in a modern 15-acre manufacturing and office campus setting, suburban to Winston-Salem, NC. Manage a staff of 10 inside sales persons. Travel is limited, retail-type hours, including some evenings and Saturdays. Responsible for US domestic consumer sales.
REPORTS TO: Reports directly to President.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree [min.], preferably with major in marketing or other business field.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of ten years hands-on ‘big ticket’ consumer sales management, including recruiting, training, managing and motivating a “high dollar” consumer-oriented sales force. Must have experience in new home sales, or construction, or real estate and associated financing. Will consider an otherwise qualified candidate with a “high dollar” consumer-based relationship selling background, e.g. luxury items, upscale furnishings, securities, mortgage lending. No candidates will be considered without some general knowledge of home construction.
MISC. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a proven sales track record, strong closing skills and be comfortable working with clients by phone. Good written skills, computer and Internet literacy also a requirement.
COMPENSATION: High five-figure range in first year; in excess of $100,000 in second and successive years.
