Salesperson for Specialty Contractor

DeaMor Associates, a successful and growing specialty contractor in Seattle, WA has an opening for the right sales person who can fuel our talented organization.  We fabricate and install proprietary engineered building components including glazed roofs, skylights and canopies; light-transmitting walls; and custom aluminum, stainless steel and glass designs.  Sales territory will be Western Washington.  Our dynamic work environment offers interaction with engineers, fabricators and installers as well as intelligent and professional customers.  .

 

The work we do is both challenging and rewarding with many prestigious projects on the Northwest skyline including the Washington Mutual Tower glazed canopies; the Bellevue Transit Center Shelters and Alderwood Mall; Seattle Asian Art Museum skylights.

 

With both architects and general contractors as our customers, a sales person for DeaMor needs to be positive and outcome-oriented and must understand and work comfortably in both the creative world of design and the practical schedule-driven world of construction. The position requires development of new customers as well as maintaining a portfolio of existing projects and customers.

 

The successful applicant will be able to professionally perform the following tasks.

·        Present products and services to architects, owners and contractors.

·         Read and interpret construction documents including plans and specifications.

·        Clearly communicate product application via sketches and written documents.

·        Plan, organize and execute sales activities and meet deadlines.

·         Build strong productive relationships with customers and co-workers.

·         Follow-through to completion in developing and closing good work.

 

Successful applicants will have the following experience, qualifications and attributes.

·         Five years’ experience with proven sales capability.

·         Construction trade work or personal construction experience.

·         Computer skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and Outlook.

·       Membership in construction industry organizations, especially AIA, CSI, AGC.

·        Personal contacts in Western Washington architectural and contracting community.

·         Articulate speaking and writing skills.

·         Competitive nature focused on the customer and committed to quality.

 

Salary: Base plus commission. Excellent Benefits, 401-K, auto allowance.
