Senior CADD Administrator

The Senior CADD Administrator role is to ensure the stable operation of in-house CADD (computer-aided design) software within the organization. This includes overseeing the development, installation, configuration, maintainance, support, and optimization of all CADD related installations and standards across the enterprise.. This position will manage the Corporate CADD staff and will technically be called the Design Support Services Manager.Responsibilities• Manage and administer all CADD-enabled desktop computers to ensure their trouble-free operation by CADD users.• Design, develop, train and implement production improvements across the company.• Develop, disseminate, and enforce CADD standards in regards to layering, dimensioning, text annotations, and other aspects of CADD usage.• Create and recommend strategies for document management as it relates to CADD user outputs, including collection, revision, and archiving.• Formulate and conduct training sessions and teaching materials for propagating CADD knowledge throughout the organization.• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for CADD software administration and appropriate use.• Analyze current CADD application usage and plan for growth or increases in software licensing and network capacity.• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.• Manage all aspects of CADD team, including hiring, disciplinary action, performance reviews, termination, and scheduling.• Guide, coach, and mentor junior members of the team.Position Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or computer science, and/or equivalent work experience.• At least 10 years direct experience operating, programming, and administrating CADD applications (i.e. AutoCADD, LDD, etc.).• Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CADD software solutions.• At least 10 years direct experience in the professional services industry.• Competency as a team leader and all aspects of employee management.• Good project management skills.• Strong customer-service orientation.10+ years
