Senior Designer/Furniture Specifier

Our client, a Premier Full Service Office Furniture provider in the New England market, seeks a professional, career-minded Senior Designer/Specifier to join a growing team. 

 

Job Requirements:

- Must have at least 5+ years experience with an industry leader in manufacturing Contract Furniture specifying, preferably from a “Knoll, Herman Miller, Steelcase or Hayworth” environment.

- Experience working with AutoCAD and CAPStudio

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Interior Design.

- Strong drafting experience

- Solid understanding of open system furniture

- Exceptional customer facing experience and skills

- Must be extremely detailed and organized

 

The candidate will be responsible for space planning, furniture specification, office layouts and reconfiguration, as well as producing creative workspace solutions.This individual must be able to work in a team environment with Project Management in order to expeditiously bring projects to a close. He/she will prepare, update and maintain commercial drawings and must have solid 3D modeling and visualization skills  including the ability to create 2D and 3D objects for architectural detailing. Knowledge of commercial furniture preferred.
