Senior Electrical Designer / Commercial Lighting and Power

Your company is a large and fast growing electrical contractor. The company specializes in design/build, negotiated, private, commercial, high-tech, biotech and residential projects of all sizes. They have exceptionally strong relationships with general contractors and utilize leading edge technology in design. Your challenge and responsibilities will be to assist Project Managers with all aspects of the project from proposal to final engineered design.  You will be involved in electrical site surveys and must be familiar with Title 24 energy calculations.  You will work on lighting and power plan design and layouts, including circuiting and switching schemes.  Proficiency with single line designs, panel schedules, and load calculations is desired!  You will provide for coordination of construction drawings, interacting with the Architect's plans, as well as Structural, Civil, Plumbing, and Mechanical Engineering plans.  In this dynamic atmosphere, you must be adaptable.  Our design/build atmosphere gives you the opportunity to review, coordinate, and adjust design changes while construction is in progress. For you to succeed you must have strong proficiency and knowledge of AutoCAD 2000 (or above) to complete the projects required. 3D, NavisWorks / JetStream experience a plus.  Your knowledge of MS Windows operating system and the ability to integrate Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, graphics, and photographs into other documents, as well as experience using a plotter is required. Your knowledge and experience with NEC, California construction and city codes highly desirable. Three or more years experience desirable. Bachelors Degree, Associates Degree is preferred or equivalent work experience acceptable. Compensation, incentives and bonuses will be discussed in detail in the interview process.  Significant additional Benefits will be discussed during the interview process.   Relocation package is available. (Note: Additional positions in Las Vegas, NV.
