Senior Medical Planner

WWCOT Architect, an award winning architectural, forensics and interior design Firm with offices in Santa Monica, Riverside, Palm Springs, Modesto and Shanghai has an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Level Medical Planner in our Santa Monica office.We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that has front-end contact with clients, consultants and representatives that will determine the functional requirements of each project, assist with marketing presentations, scheduling/budgets, client/consultant relations, documentation and more

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the medical planning efforts for healthcare projects and work with the project team in the development of projects Participate in business development efforts by assisting the Healthcare Partner in lead development and contribute to the preparation of proposals and participate in interviews for projects Lead user and other client meetings in the development of projects Assist clients in program development Assist the Healthcare Partner in the development of the Health + Science Practice through staff education and mentoring. Participate in professional healthcare architecture organizations in the development of the practice. Works closely with the members of the healthcare group in order to design a project that meets the firm’s commitment to design, quality, schedules and the client’s needs, financial budget, and timetable. Assists the client in determining goals and objectives of the health care facility through a clear programming process. Directs the production of architectural programs and master plans for health care clients. Provides leadership in order to carry out the goals and objectives of the project and communicates with team members in a timely manner. Participates in marketing proposals and interviews. Prepares alternate design solutions for consideration based on client’s long-range plan during the master planning and design phases. Assists members of the team with schematic design phase and is responsible for all functional aspects of the proposed solutions. Provides room and departmental layouts and assists in the selection of building systems. Assists in the inclusion of program requirements during the construction document phase. Works with the client in preparation of information for the “Certificate of Need” application. Assists in the evaluation of existing facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
15-20 years planning experience in healthcare industry.

Education
Minimum professional degree in Architecture, a concentration in healthcare or medical planning preferred
