Senior Plumbing Engineer

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years related experience or an Associate degree with a minimum of 12 years related experience. Proficient in CADD (preferably AutoCAD), WordPerfect and Quattro Pro with working knowledge of applicable codes. Professional Engineer licensure or professional certification highly desirable. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate existing plumbing and fire protection systems and provide recommendations with associated cost estimates. Perform site visits for documentation of existing systems and building conditions. Perform plumbing load calculations and develop appropriate system concepts and layouts. Design building plumbing systems; including water supply, domestic water heating, domestic water distribution, sanitary and waste water collection, storm water collection, sewage disposal, fuel storage and distribution, and compressed air systems. Prepare technical specifications and engineering reports. Develop and maintain departmental design standards in consultation with Department Head. Coordinate system design with other disciplines. Review shop drawings and product submittals for conformance to contract requirements. Visit construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed and to provide solutions to construction problems. Represent the firm at professional meetings and conventions and assist in marketing the firms services to prospective clients. Additional duties as directed by the Department Head.  EOE W/M/V/D
