Software Engineer

Webasto Roof Systems, Inc., the world's largest supplier of sunroofs and roof systems to the automotive industry, seeks a Software Engineer for our Rochester Hills, MI facility.

 

Qualifications include:

 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science

·  5-8 years cumulative product engineering experience in embedded software engineering discipline

·  2 years working with automotive customers

·  Thorough knowledge of customer specifications and competitive technical solutions

·  Computer literate, thoroughly familiar with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes, etc.

·  Thoroughly skilled in embedded real time software design, control systems, C programming language, software development process (e.g. CMM).

·  Exemplary technical skills and record for technical achievement

·  Knowledgeable of QEMS, 8D, version control, DFMEA, Six Sigma

 

Responsibilities include:

 

·  Implement robust, high quality and cost effective software designs that meet or exceed customer requirements.

·  Create software development plans with Project Engineers

·  Develop robust software solutions for product design applications from concept through production.

·  Utilize appropriate software engineering analysis and development processes

·  Work with other Software Engineers to achieve high quality and uniformity of engineering design standards and specifications

·  Prepare and conduct design reviews internally and with customers.
