Receive and process all relevant information for specifications in the Cuts and Quotes Book as compiled and organized by the Design Team. 

Provides a thorough review of the submitted documents in the Cuts and Quotes Book that includes but is not limited to Budget Sheets, Specification Forms, Line Drawings, Fabric Submittals, and Specialty Items.

Responsible for the input of the data into the DMD Specification Program.  This data is directly correlated with the Specification Form and will have attachments such as fabrics, line drawings and or pictures that clearly define the 1- 4 page specification.

Will deliver the specifications once written are issued to the Design Team for review prior to any approvals or distribution.

Final deliverables are printed and assembled and the Design Team expedites the documents as requested by the Client.

Performs such other duties as may be assigned by manager.


Minimum Job Requirement:

Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and the use of office machines and equipment.

Ability to project a positive, concerned image to the team.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Interior Design, Design sales in furniture or residential experience a plus

Comprehensive knowledge of specification documents

Ability to organize time and tasks to expedite work flow efficiently

Knowledge of master schedules and time lines for punctual completion

Accurate and timely reporting skills

Sufficient skill in typing to complete 60 wpm accurately

Advanced training in typing and general office procedures

Any equivalent combination of training and experience

2-4 years experience as a specification writer
