Sr. Structural Engineer

Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!  Harris Group Inc., a design-engineering firm, currently is seeking licensed Structural Engineers to join our design teams in Atlanta, Georgia; Seattle, Washington; and Portland, Oregon to work on multiple fast track capital projects, and to fill a variety of engineering roles for new and/or modifications of existing industrial and/or manufacturing facilities.  Our Atlanta office seeks a Sr./Lead Structural Engineer .

 

Projects will/may include a diverse mix of public sector, water/waste water, alternative energy plants, grassroots and retrofit of large manufacturing facilities, and support of heavy industries such as wood products and chemical production facilities. Seismic upgrades to existing facilities are common to many projects.

 

Must have a minimum of a BS or equivalent in civil (structural emphasis) or structural engineering.  PE preferred.  Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills; be self-motivated; goal-oriented; able to work independently, and as part of a team. 

 

Candidates should be experienced in:

 Analysis and design of industrial facilities using structural steel, reinforced concrete and masonry as the primary materials of construction.Knowledgeable in the use of STAAD Pro and similar analysis and design software.Building code regulations, including seismic design and construction practices.Coordinating with other design disciplines.Lead experience a plus for senior level positionQualified candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
