Sr. Technical Project Manager

The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for the daily management and implementation of MSG Interactive initiatives for MSG.com, NYRangers.com, NYKnicks.com and NYLiberty.com. Coordinates product development with intra-team and cross-divisional stakeholders. Tracks project schedules and development progress in order to mitigate risks and remove impediments from development team. Shows accountability for team progress and communicates status from development teams to Product, Business and Operations teams. Serves as the primary resource and coordinator for all other employees within the project team, providing direction to a wide range of employees. Delivers messages that are clear and concise and seeks feedback from others on their understanding of one’s communication, deadlines, project plan and status. Manages risk and issue mitigation and ensures the delivery of products or services to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget. Participates in special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with at least seven years of experience managing Internet projects. Must have a proven track record of strong project delivery experience with business and technical awareness. Will be knowledgeable of contemporary project management tools and methods. Must have strong knowledge with system scopes and projects’ objectives, as well as role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. . Must have strong analytical and negotiating skills with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions. Must be a creative and critical thinker with the ability to speak in front of a group. Will have advanced leadership and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously across a diverse team. Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and possess excellent communication skills. Will have the ability to multi-task and prioritize under a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment. Will be proficient in computer and web technologies with comprehensive knowledge of PC/MAC operating systems, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash/HTML, HTML, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Front Page; Scanning Software, Customized Data Systems and Internet. Must have flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends.
