Requires 7+ years structural analysis and design experience with bridges, tunnels, and retaining structures and Solid seismic analysis/design experience. Bachelors degree in civil engineering and a Professional Engineering (PE) license is required, preferably a California PE. If this sounds like you, read on... Requirements: Bachelors degree in Civil engineering is required, emphasis in Structural engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) license is required. A California PE registration is preferred. 7+ years experience in structural engineering principles, both in analysis and design, of bridges, tunnels and retaining structures. Solid seismic analysis and design experience required Knowledge of various excavation shoring systems including cut-off walls, external bracing systems, and internal bracing systems. Soil-structure interaction experience is desirable. Experience with civil airport projects HIGHLY desired including: * Passenger Connector Tunnel(s) * Baggage conveyance tunnel and utility chases * Utility Plant(s) and relocations of existing utilities * Other civil airport structures including passenger terminals, hangars, etc. Cross discipline coordination and some experience on transit projects such as subterranean railways, peoplemovers, etc. Responsibilities: Structural analysis and design of civil airport bridges, structures, tunnels and retaining structures. Perform design calculations, develop specifications, and develop details for temporary excavation support systems and cut-and-cover concrete structures. Supervise a group of engineers and CAD designers Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants in performing the above tasks with high standards.
