Survey Manager

Overview: Stantec's Surveys/Geomatics Group is one of North America's largest surveying and mapping consultants with more than 700 geomatics employees, including over 90 licensed professional surveyors, operating out of 45 locations. Responsibilities: Will lead all land surveying services performed by the Raleigh Survey group, with duties including business development and client maintenance, project management and financial oversight, supervision of office and field staff, and professional responsibility for survey work. The position will also work closely with the survey managers in the Charlotte and Winston-Salem offices to coordinate project work and resource sharing, and to assist establishing business development contacts to create work backlog and department growth across North Carolina. Qualifications: Minimum 8 -10 years progressive experience in surveying and mapping, including boundary resolution, subdivision platting, topographic mapping and construction staking.Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity including directing workloads, developing staff and completing performance assessments. Strong project management skills. Strong business development and client maintenance skills. Computer proficiency with AutoCAD, LDD and survey software. Strong GPS experience a plus. Professional Land Survey license in State of North Carolina.
