Account Manager - Outside (Phoenix)
Dealer Tire is the only national tire distributor that partners with automobile original equipment manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan, Infiniti, Volkswagen, Audi, Saab and Kia to create complete replacement tire programs for their dealerships.
These tire programs provide the training, support, technology, materials and inventory that enable over 6,000 automobile dealers to increase sales and revenue by retaining their customers and contributing to vehicle safety and performance.

As an Account Manager, your essential job functions will include the following:
I. Sales/Business Development
· Meeting regional sales and productivity goals
· Presenting financial Tire Opportunity to each Dealership
· Driving Share gain with each Dealership
· Delivering the Dealer Tire program to All Customers
· Developing new business through consistent Alliance Partner field contacts
· Developing account strategies to increase revenues
II. Account Management
· Use consultative selling process to penetrate accounts
· Implementing/Completing Selling Process in each Dealership
· Administer appropriate planning to deliver high impact business plan to VITO
· Make significant contacts and presentations to VITO to insure dealership alignment with Dealer Tire program
· Identifying competitive threats, trends, and issues
· Developing and maintaining consistent monthly contact schedule with dealers
· Solving customer-relations problems relating to any account activity
· Keeping accurate and timely internal records of key contacts and field activity
· Gather inventory analysis data and provide to Carline Services Department
· Distributing pertinent industry or product developments to customers
· Maintaining knowledge of current industry trends and sharing it with dealers
III. Marketing/Promotion
· Assisting dealers in marketing and promoting tire sales through Alliance programs
· Assisting in the development and maintenance of pricing lists, retail selling guides, special promotion materials, etc. and distributing them to customers.
· Providing tire merchandising market support to dealers
IV. Requirements:
· Meeting field activity objectives
· Preparing and presenting Quarterly Operations Review
· Providing feedback and strategic information to the Division Sales Manager and the Carline Services Department
· Submitting timely contact reports, forecasts, itineraries, and expense reports to the Sales Management as required
· Maintaining contacts with appropriate departments within Dealer Tire in order to insure maximum success
· Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of automotive, dealership (could be selling or working in one), and/or extensive tire experience
Experience in a consultative sale preferrably
Ability to travel overnight up to 5-7 nights a month
Ability to travel within the market
Experience with Business Plans and Territory Management
Experience with a Sales Process
Experience in working with all levels within an organization
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
V. Physical Requirements:
· Extensive driving to customer accounts
· Sitting for long periods of time
· Talking on the telephone for long periods of time
VI. Drug Policy
· Dealer Tire is a drug-free environment. All applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening before beginning work.
