Paid holidays - 2 days at Christmas, 2 days at Thanksgiving, Labor day, July 4th (if on a weekday), Memorial Day.  Paid vacation - 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 3 years, 3 weeks after  years - pay based on average daiy for the past year.  After 90 days probation the company pays 80% of health & dental insurance for non-smoker employee & non-smoker family members (70% for smokers).  Employee portion of insurance expense is handled under section 125 of the tax code which means the employee portion is deducted before taxes (which saves you money).  After 1 year the company pays 100% of short term and long term disability insurance.  We are open 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Mon - Fri with virtually no Saturday work except when our workload exceeds our capacity and when Christmas lands on Wednesday.

Domestic, European, and Asian product knowledge preferred but not all 3 are required

Responsibilities:

Assist in overseeing  and be accountable for entire store operations to the store manager
Act as Service Writer, greeting customers and writing up service needs on computer
Dispatch work to technicians – monitor workflow of techs
Create repair estimates and action plans for customers and then contact the customer to
make the service sale
Complete finished repair orders on computer ensuring the total approximates the estimate.
Explain finished bill to customer and take payment, verifying id and address with USPS
Make follow-up phone calls to all customers. Particular attention to be paid to all new customers, customers w/ large bills, & customers with intermittent problems
Oversee parts supply. These parts duties include:
Ordering parts
Competitive price/value shopping
Stocking parts and verifying quantities on the shelf of stocked items
Recording and monitoring credits for returned parts and cores
Keeping the parts room orderly
Entering parts data into computer
Entering charged peurchase records into computer

Entering daily sales records into computer and compiling bank deposit.
Ensuring deposits equal sales
Maintaining MSDA records
Oversee facility maintenance and appearance
Maintain record files of repair orders and related documents
Stocking Night drop supplies
Securing the shop, cars, and lot after closing

Enforce rules and procedures as defined by the owner amongst all employees. The actual division of managerial duties is up to the store manager but should be equitable work loads and both the manager and asst. manager should be fully capable of doing the other's jobs. There are some cases where 1 person must work alone such as illness or vacation of the other co-manager and must be capable of completing all the duties performed by both.

Job Purpose:
Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport, service records, and inventory.

Duties:
* Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.

* Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.

* Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.

* Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.

* Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.

* Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
