The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company currently has an opening for a Business Analyst - Marketing for the Goodyear Retail Stores, in Akron, OH.

Purpose of Position:
Responsible for developing advertising effectiveness models that accurately predict sales revenue by advertising media run and advertising spend. Using sales data and media spend, builds analytical tools to calculate ROI on all advertising spend at the store, District, Region, and Country level.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes best practice tools, processes and standards for advertising effectiveness modeling.
2. Data collection from a variety of sources including media spent, media used, actual sales from the database and outside sources.
3. Collect secondary data to determine market size, market share and emerging trends.
4. Provide segmentation research and analysis.
5. Works with Manager, Sales & Promotion to prepare advertising ROI and analysis.
6. Analyze trends of media spent and ROI by store, district, region and country.
7. Supports the development of future marketing plans including media use and dollars spent.
8. Supports post-promotional analysis to assess advertising effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor's or higher level degree in math, business statistics or related discipline required.
* 3 or more years of marketing analysis experience, preferably in a retail environment.
* Quantitative analysis, regression modeling analysis and strong business statistics skills.
* Creative thinking and problem solving skills with experience identifying key issues through fact-based quantitative analysis and then structuring and evaluating strategic alternatives.
* Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Experienced user of MS Office suite with an emphasis in Excel and Power Point.
* Ability to utilize multiple systems/data sources in support of analytical needs.
Preferred:
* Masters or higher level degree in math, business statistics or related discipline.
