We are a dynamic Central Ohio-based company in a niche segment of the automotive industry.We are the leading company in this automotive aftermarket segment with substantial growth on the horizon. This buyer must be self-motivated to identify, structure, negotiate, and maintain programs for the purchase of high quality, competitively priced materials, goods and services for the company.Our main focus is to continually reduce operational and material costs through operational improvement; thus, this individual will have to be a collaborative yet decisive decision-maker with strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Duties: Assist in the development and execution of the objectives and goals for the department and company. Negotiate and/or manage and track the legal contracts that are associated with the supplier spends that have been initiated or routed through the supply chain department, by acting as liaison to our company’s corporate counsel. Pre-qualify suppliers of goods/services for the business requirements. Define and mandate supplier reporting requirements. Support other supply chain associates and/or initiatives as necessary, including working all quality-related issues for goods and/or services managed as the buyer of that commodity. Manages the complete process for specific RFI’s and RFP’s. Act as liaison, when needed, between Accounting & Suppliers Perform special duties and ad hoc reports as necessary for supply chain and/or upper management. Prepare and present written/oral quarterly updates on progress to individual and company goals Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years of purchasing experience; varied commodities a plus Pricing or data and/or financial analysis experience required; strong analytical ability Structured RFI & RFP experience required Strong negotiation skills with proven track record of cost savings Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power Point;  Access a plus Excellent customer service skills with the highest sense of urgency Strong written & verbal communication skills   Submit your resume by clicking on the Apply Now button.
