Primary Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for driving new customers and repeat visitation from existing customers measured by car count/day growth and by gross margin per car. Overall budget of approximately $15 million with expected revenue return of a minimum 200% in marketing return. Build new strategies utilizing analytics and create the metrics of business/marketing success - from what the marketing mix by region and payout model for each dollar spent. Create the right balance of customer "touches" to maximize the customer life cycle which will result in gross margin. Be able to communicate findings, results, and recommendations to the mgmt team and field as well as getting buy in from necessary parties to implement a response driven advertising strategy. Direct the use of advertising, promotions, events, public relations and direct mail. Candidates will have experience in analytical approaches and concepts and be able to combine data with marketing to reach financial goals. Also be able to manage and develop staff for future leadership positions.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Be the resource leader of marketing and business concepts, provide direction to analyst on trends, take the analysis and translate to why a promotion worked or didn't, differences in behavior form market to market, a customer's lifetime value/margin, and what drives consumer behavior to drive growth in car count per day and gross margin per car.
* Incorporate and manage all aspects of marketing mix to grow customer base, e-commerce and existing customers. Strategically decide best methods and ideal mix of print, radio, billboard, direct mail, press events, media stunts and promotions to affect customer behavior, crate loyalty and drive revenue. Develop and manage the proformas and post analysis to show improving accuracy in marketing decisions.
* Show proven success through measurement of ROI on marketing programs, customer conversion statistics new customer counts and cross sell integration. Every additional car is worth $15m in profit and the objective for this position is to add 2 cars. Also, this position is responsible for adding 1 additional tire per day which is worth approximately $12m of incremental profit to the chain.
* Develop and reinforce brand image of the retail stores. Oversee customer communication strategy consistency in all advertising materials. Develop and grow fleet customer strategy - maximize B2B strategies in direct mail and promotions to show 150% return in profit.
* Manage, direct, and negotiate the direct mail vendor relationship from tracking and monitoring time, costs, effectiveness, and performance.
Qualifications:
Required-
* Bachelors or higher level degree in marketing, finance or business administration.
* This position also requires a strong, analytical thinker and complete understanding of all marketing mediums and tools.
* 7 or more years of experience with at least 3 years running direct mail programs with proven analytical results.
* 3 or more years in analytics - business and marketing models, measurement and problem solving.
* 3 or more years experience managing and developing a staff.
* Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and database systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Preferred-
* Experience in a retail environment.
* MBA
