DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Customer Service Organization for Veyance / Goodyear Engineered Products is responsible for meeting customer needs through order management (taking, placing and expediting customer orders), providing technical information and recommendations on products, handling customer complaints and billing inquiries as well as providing many other services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for facilitating consistently complete, accurate, and on-time shipments to Goodyear s EPD customers. Maintain focus on customer service in an expanding global marketplace as SKU s proliferate. Listen to, talk to and communicate throughout various levels of the customers hierarchy in a professional, courteous, customer-centered manner.
* Manage daily activities around EDI and manual customer orders to facilitate partnership communications, to reduce overall costs of processing orders, and to optimize timeliness and efficiencies in getting product to the customers.
* Rationalize requirements derived from customer inputs around the various factory and warehouse constraints, process variations and bottlenecks in the cycle.
* Routinely handle customer inquiries, complaints, claims, credits, and debits.
* Facilitate daily changes in customer demands that set off chain reactions affecting inventories, warehousing, transportation, procurements, and the manufacturing schedule.
* Welcome special customer requirements as opportunities to differentiate Goodyear from the competition.
REQUIRED:
* Associate or higher level degree.
* Proficiency in MS Office products.
* Excellent organizational, verbal, written and phone skills.
* Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with willingness and ability to take reasonable risks and make timely, critical decisions around satisfying customer needs.
* Proven ability to learn and use computer systems in an ever-escalating skills enhancement arena.
PREFERRED:
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in Customer Service and SAP.
* Bachelors or higher level degree.
