Emergency Vehicle Tech/Mechanic – Heavy Equipment III

 

This position is in the Marshall Islands. You must be willing to relocate.

 

(Full-Time; Unaccompanied)

 

Responsibilities:

 

Knowledge of repairing, servicing and maintaining emergency vehicles related to Automotive (Fire Trucks, Ambulances, Etc). Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order. Maintain adequate records to reflect work accomplished. Assist in instructing others to become more knowledgeable and skillful in the work. Must support and promote productivity and efficiency, cost awareness and methods improvement, learning and training and job safety. Personal integrity, honesty, consistency, reliability and self-motivation a must.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Shall have sufficient education to perform the arithmetic calculations required on the job.

Must be able to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, chassis and body services issues related to all emergency vehicles.  Perform periodic maintenance and inspections in accordance with NFPA requirements.  Shall have at least two years of work experience with emergency vehicles, or qualifications for this position.  Must pass an on-site road or operational test, specifically for each piece of equipment, given under the supervision of Automotive Services, in order to be considered as qualified to drive and/or operate any particular emergency vehicle.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Mandatory

 

1. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. 

2. Two years experience with emergency vehicles.

  3. EVT and or ASE certification a plus.

  4. Related specialty courses or related Trade Tech training a plus.
