We are an equal opportunity employer. 1. Commission Low and Medium Voltage Power Systems2. Support Engineering manufacturing, sales and marketing departments.3. Support Distributor Field Technicians on Systems issues.4. Gather customer service requirements from internal and external customers.5. Manage Standard paralleling system product issues.6. Document product issues using PIR database.7. Diagnose physical architecture and component interfaces for a given control strategies. Work includes leading the resolution of system integration issues.8. Promotes cross-functional teaming and problem solving to effectively meet customers requirements. Provide the vision for on going improvement.9. Support technical publications revue service manuals. Skills ' Functional / Technical:* BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience.* Two + years experience with Power Systems a plus* Knowledge of PLC / HMI programming. Modicon Allan Bradley GE.* Experience performing system integration and resolving system level problems.* Experience performing complete system evaluation, including performance, reliability, robustness, cost, and tradeoffs.* Techniques include failure modes and effects analysis, robust design analysis of Power Systems.* Knowledge of control theory.* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.* Language Spanish / Portuguese desired.Skills - Quality Improvement:* Experience / familiarity with Six Sigma tools a plus.* Systematic Problem Solving* Ability to find real issues behind problems.* Ability to develop, implement, follow, maintain and improve processes, practices and standards.Skills ' Teamwork:* Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally and with individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.* Demonstrate ability to work within a team and help the team meet it's goals.* Ability to effectively communicate with others.Skills ' Leadership:* Willing to take ownership of projects / issues and insure they are resolved to their customer's satisfaction. * Willing to mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced co-workers.* Ability to handle multiple tasks and new assessments.* Demonstrated ability to meet established schedules.* Interactive and proactive in responding to issues.Travel: North and South America 50%"Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace."
