Parts Counter Salesperson

BUSINESS SUMMARY: Chicago International Trucks, the largest single-market dealership in the country, is a Medium- and Heavy-Duty Truck Dealership with multiple locations in the Chicagoland area. We provide customers with truck sales, service, parts, and leasing.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Sell, at retail, parts to all available customers over the front counter, through the shop, or over the phone Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure customer satisfaction Pull necessary parts from stock, if not available, determine availability and submit order if requested Pull and process inter-branch orders and transfers Assist PDC route driver with unloading of incoming stock and reloading of outgoing stock Obtain and bill parts to shop to shop repair order for technicians Communicate with Service Foreman on all parts issues related to their shift Be trained on and be able to open, close and bill a service shop repair order Be trained in Fleetcharge procedures and C.O.D collections Restock and organize showroom merchandise as instructed by Parts manager Responsible for bin room organization and cycle inventory checks Keep work areas clean and orderly

 

SUPERVISORY REPONSIBILITIES: NONE

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2+ years truck parts experience, retail sales experience and customer service experience Must be computer literate

 

LANGUAGE SKILLSGood communications skills are required Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
