General Job Summary
Develops, solicits and closes new accounts, generate sales quotations, and handle customer inquiries. Develops and maintains an effective network of referral sources and utilize leads from trade shows, incoming calls and cold calls. Closes business by focusing on sales of Digital Lot® Solution system. Meet and exceed sales goals by developing, soliciting and closing new business via the telephone (70%) and in person (30%).
Job Responsibilities
Develop relationships with automotive dealers in assigned territory, assess Internet advertising needs and offer product and service solutions that will increase their business.
Respond to RFP from new prospects by creating pricing and written sales proposals.Organize sales leads, cold call leads, search out new leads.Consultative sales role responsible for offering and closing appropriate data solutions, and managing existing customer relationships.Manage sales contacts and prospects in sales management tool.Understand the value proposition of CDMdata Digital Lot solution.Manage existing customer relationships and up-sell/cross-sell existing accounts.Normal work schedule is 8-5. Accept for client calls on evenings and weekends.Moderate overnight travel (up to 30%) by land and/or air.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Attributes & Education
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Basic understanding/working knowledge of SalesForce.com.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, sales or a related field, 3+ years of experience and/or expertise in inside sales and Internet sales, preferable in the automotive and/or technology industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
