We currently has opportunities available for Reliability Engineers to join the Engineering department at our corporate headquarters located in Akron, Ohio. The North American Regional Engineering Team falls within the North America Manufacturing Organization. This team is responsible for driving improvements to asset efficiency by influencing the design, procurement, installation, operation and maintenance of our process equipment. From incorporating changes in the design by use of tools such as fmea's to the institution of planned maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance concepts at the factory level, the candidate must be able to influence business decisions to continuously improve the reliability of Goodyear's assets. As a member of this team, you will interface with designers, vendors, consultants and plant personnel to provide guidance on best practices as applicable to the situation being reviewed. Be a part of this exciting and dynamic department, and help us to advance the direction of design/manufacturing processes for Goodyear.
Reporting to the NAT Regional Maintenance and Engineering Manager, you will work with design teams to enhance designs to provide the highest possible asset efficiency, and will review existing equipment for potential improvements as well as the creation and communication of standards and procedures necessary to drive improvement to the operation (uptime) of our equipment. As a Goodyear Reliability Engineer, you will facilitate root cause investigations, FMEA's, FTA as well as demonstrate and use other reliability tools. In addition to becoming a content expert in reliability and research, you will be expected to find the best reliability tools and procedures to adopt within Goodyear.
A successful Reliability Engineer will work well in a team environment, and will possess a minimum of three years experience along with the motivation, drive and leadership skills to advance in your career.
If you possess multiple certifications or experience in the following areas then this may be just the opportunity you've been waiting for: CMRP, CRE, vibration monitoring, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonics, motor megger testing, leading FMEAs, TPM, RCM, precision alignment, maintenance planning, root cause failure analysis, reliability risk assessment, Six Sigma (green or black belt), OEE Measurement and/or Weibull Analysis. Do you enjoy travel and a frequent change of scenery? As a Goodyear Reliability Engineer you'll travel throughout North America up to 50% of the time.
