SAP MDM Technical Lead

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The purpose of this position is to manage all SAP Netweaver related technical activities in the context of global Master Data Management. This position will provide SAP Netweaver technical leadership during MDM implementations as well as manage on-going support as the team transitions to a steady state environment. This position will report to manager of MDM IT Organization and will have direct reports from Netweaver technical resources.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage SAP Netweaver technical resources such as PI, Portal, MDM developers and configurators etc.
* Provide SAP Netweaver in general and MDM in particular architecture direction for advanced and complex technical solutions to master data problems in a global environment
* Establish MDM implementation and on-going support policies and procedures
* Develop best practices and guidelines for the MDM IT organization in various areas of Netweaver
* Build SAP NetWeaver MDM technical integration strategies and roadmaps
* Liaise with system administration, infrastructure, security, web development and other IT departments to ensure MDM projects follow established IT policies and procedures and MDM technical roadmaps are aligned with rest of the organization
* Liaise with SAP to understand SAP's roadmap for NetWeaver for better alignment with SAP's architectural strategies and roadmaps
* Ensure technical deliverables on MDM projects are aligned with business expectations, follow IT standards and are of high quality
* Conduct performance reviews of direct reports and establish their developmental plans

Qualifications:
Required-
* BS or higher level degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
* 8 or more years of overall IT experience and 6+ years experience in SAP
* Must have worked in an SAP Netweaver Architect capacity for 3+ years
* Broad experience with more than one SAP NetWeaver Product such as Portal, PI, MDM, SAP Java etc.
* Understanding of how MDM integrates with other Netweaver products such as Portal, PI, BI etc.

Preferred-
* Prior resource management experience
* Technical project management experience
* General understanding of data management and various master data concepts
* Hands on experience using SAP MDM 5.5 SP4 (or above) tools (Console, Import Manager, Syndicator, Data Manager)
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
