Requirements

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company currently has an opening for a Safety & Health Engineer at its' corporate headquarters in Akron, Ohio.

Department Description:
Research, Development, Engineering & Quality, in regards to Safety and health issues, in Akron and globally.

Job Content/Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable in the technical aspects of S&H functions, programs and systems.
-Knowledgeable in technical aspects of S&H functions, programs, and systems. Maintains current knowledge/understanding of federal, state and local S&H regulations.
- Knowledgeable & experienced in conducting incident investigations by different problem solving techniques.
- Familiar with ergonomic engineering and its relevance to reducing sprains and strains in the workplace.

Qualifications:
Required:

* 4 year Technical, or higher level degree
* Knowledgeable in technical aspects of S&H functions, programs, and systems.
* Current knowledge/understanding of federal, state and local S&H regulations.
* Knowledgeable & experienced in conducting incident investigations and the determination of root cause by different problem solving techniques problems.
* Maintaining S&H information to meet governmental requirements, as well as to provide data for problem solving/decision making.
* Assessing S&H risks associated with equipment, materials, processes, facilities or abilities

Preferred:
- ISO 18001 Trained
- OSHA 501 Train the Trainer
- CSP
