Senior Auditor

Requirements

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company currently has an opening for a Senior Auditor located at the corporate headquarters located in Akron, OH.

Department Description:
To support the internal audit department in its responsibilities to deliver assurance services to management by providing independent audits and assessments of business risk, regulatory compliance, internal control assessments and the efficiency/adequacy of accounting and business processes.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* As part of the audit team, plan and execute accounting and financial reporting audits, business process control reviews, and other auditing engagements.
* Identify accounting and control issues and value-added recommendations and communicate findings to management.
* Perform detailed quality assurance reviews to ensure quality in the performance and documentation of the audit procedures performed.
* Provide leadership and direction to a team of Goodyear associates to ensure quality and efficiency in the performance of audit engagements.
* Draft clear and concise audit report and other communications to management.
* Provide a constantly high level of internal & external customer service.

Qualifications:

Required-
* Bachelors or higher level degree in Accounting or Finance
* Knowledge of manufacturing and corporate processes, minimum four (4) years experience in the accounting and auditing field
* A strong understanding of the audit processes
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong analytical and data management skills
* Prior supervisory experience and skill in fostering a team focused work environment

Preferred-
* CPA or CIA
* Prior experience with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and compliance

Other Information:
* Anticipated 30-40% travel requirement.
* Must maintain confidentiality and strict adherence to Company policies.
* Capable of interacting with all organization levels; ranging from entry level Associates to Goodyear's Senior Leadership Management team.
* Candidates should be actively pursuing CPA /CIA certification or fulfillment of the CPE requirements.
