Job Description:

The Senior Software Developer should be a strong developer with business acumen and a passion for creating practical stable solutions.  As a senior software developer you will be reporting to the VP of  Technology and you will be responsible for the architecture, development, maintenance and testing of the system assigned to you.

 

Job Responsibilities:Architect robust maintainable software solutions consistent with current industry practices.  Communicate this architecture at a business and technical levelObject-oriented design, development, and maintenance of application code using Microsoft C#Develop SQL Server SSIS packages to import data and maintain SQL stored procedures and views that are used for data processingTake ownership and responsibility for delivering stable code meeting specifications, and timelinesThoroughly unit test and regression test all software functionality and quickly coordinate corrective action when necessaryParticipate in ongoing code reviews and ensure consistent quality and adherence to internal standardsCarry a text messaging device to be notified of any exceptional application events


Job Requirements:Bachelors Degree required7+ years of C++/C# experience5+ years with the following:Microsoft ASP/ASP.NET with ADO/ADO.NETT-SQL or PL/SQL experience (very strong SQL experience required)Design, develop and test exp within a software development team.3+ years of COM/COM+/.NET Component experience1+ years experience with the following: SSISSQL Server Reporting ServicesAdvanced knowledge of developing applications using  the following:Microsoft's .NET technologyMicrosoft SQL Server 2005 and the Service Broker Strong knowledge XML  and Windows Server 2003. A keen interest in learning about new technology and products such as Windows PowerShell 2.0 and .NET 3.0Self-direction and project management skillsMust be able to successfully interact with people that are both technical and non-technical
