We provide diesel and alternative-fueled engines and power generation systems as well as sales, parts, service, and engineered solutions.  At five certified Coach Care locations, we deliver top-to-bottom RV coach service.  Most importantly, we strive to build our customers’ trust through responsive customer support. Cummins Power South values its employees, and we want to equip each to be successful.  We promote from within, provide training opportunities, and encourage learning and growth at every level of our organization. About the opportunity: Currently, we are recruiting for a Service Manager for our Savannah Service Center.  This position is primarily responsible for the efficient operation of the Service Department and the advancement toward branch and corporate goals and objectives.  Core Responsibilities:  Coordinates and directs all repair service operations for the service center to ensure proper and effective repair services are provided. Reviews daily the overall administration of repair orders and reporting to ensure service commitments are being fulfilled in an efficient and timely fashion. Assists technicians in diagnosing problems. Ensures adequate levels of parts and supplies are on hand for emergency applications. Establishes and maintains positive, productive working environment for assigned employees through fair and consistent administration of personnel policies and procedures, ensuring efficient working habits and compliance with company objectives and applicable government regulations. Reviews all service work performed to confirm proper distribution of invoicing for parts and service reimbursement. Monitors and implements company policies and procedures for health and safety of personnel. Reviews all warranty claims and follows up with warranty manager or other staff to reconcile discrepancies. Participates in employee recruitment, interviews, and performance reviews. Requirements:  Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Demonstrates ability to initiate, expedite and follow through to task completion. Ability to motivate employees and create a team environment. Excellent communications skills, active listening, writing, speaking and telephone. Demonstrates commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement. Customer Led attitude with the ability to negotiate externally and internally. Analysis and problem-solving skills with basic knowledge of diesel engine technology. Education and Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum five years experience managing technicians in a service and repair environment.
